Jared checked in for the Gail Force out of Long Beach. We had very very good calico bass fishing. We caught well into the 30's and had plenty of shorts to keep the guys entertained in between. We also got our 1st yellowtail of the year. There was good whitefish fishing and sheephead for the guys fishing the bottom. Things are definitely shaping up. Jared checked in for the Gail Force out of Long Beach. All in all, a pretty decent day. The deep water rock cod was pretty good. Didn't quite get it done, but the guys had fun getting quality rockfish. Then we went into the shallows and had pretty good whitefish fishing for the guys fishing the bottom. There is definitely plenty of fish around. Pretty much every spot we fished we had bonito, bass, and even a few yellowtail boiling around, but getting a bite was tough. The opportunity was definitely there. Jared has the latest fish report for you below.

Jared checked in for the Gail Force out of Long Beach. They started off in the deep water where they got it done with reds and other assorted rockfish. They're heading into the shallows to see if they can catch some bass or bonito on the kelp line, and maybe even find the yellowtail they saw yesterday. Jared checked in for the Gail Force out of Long Beach. A pretty decent day all togeher. We started off bottom fishing, and it was very good for the little time we did it. We went to the shallows and focused on surface fishing the rest of the day half the boat was fishing bottom and got all the whitefish they needed. We had a pick at the bonito and bass.
