Jared checked in for the Gail Force out of San Pedro. We had very good fishing once again. The calico bass fishing is very very good, and we saw very good signs of yellowtail. We landed 3 of the 6 that we hooked. We also got plenty of barracuda on the boat along with some whitefish, sheephead, and perch. There is good fishing to be had at the island. Ryan checked in for the Gail Force out of San Pedro. Just heard from the boat, its really good fishing this morning! They have some yellows on the boat, really good barracuda fishing, calico bass, everything biting!! Flat calm water and really good fishing! If you guys want to join us tomorrow, only have a 9 or 10 signed up, and the boat is A GO, 5 am departure going to catalina!! Jared said to bring your lighter 20lb gear, smaller hooks, #1's or whatever to flyline bait. He also said to bring leadheads, they have live squid on the boat, maybe some 25 lb and lighter line for the bass fishing. Ryan has the latest fish report for you below.

Just 13 anglers out today on a private charter had easy limits of Calico Bass (65), 1 Yellowatil, 7 Barracuda, 22 Bonito and 8 Sheephead.   

The good times continue at the Island and we have plenty of availability July 4th, July 5th and July 6th.   All Open Party trips aboard the Gail Force are limited to  just 20 anglers and depart at 5am.

We stayed busy pretty much the entire day and the size was truly impressive--a lot of 5 to 8 pound bass. We had 85 bass for our charter today to go along with bonito, barracuda and whitefish for the guys fishing the bottom. A very good day of fishing once again. Bruce checked in for the Sport King out of LA Waterfront. We had a rent rod charter today. The water temperature jumped up at the island and it really made a difference. We had decent fishing. We saw a light scattering of yellow but didn't catch any, and had some seabass caught early in the morning. There were a lot of boats in the general area that we were in. We had good fishing on the bonito and barracuda with a lot of nice bass mixed in. It was your basic 3/4 day at Catalina here. Bruce has the current fish report for you below.

Jared checked in for the Gail Force out of San Pedro. We've been chartered here the last week and a half. We do have some open parties coming up. Fishing has been very very good. We've had some of the best bass fishing I've seen in a few years getting limits or close to it mostly every trip, and the quality is really good with a pick at the bonito and barracuda as well. We have been seeing yellowtail and white sea bass every day, but getting them to bite has been a little tricky. There's plenty of fish around.
