Ryan checked in for the Sport King out of San Pedro. Sport King stuck the the surface thing today.  We fished  Catalina Island with 16 anglers capturing 21 Calico Bass, 50 released, 1 Sand Bass, 17 Sheedhead, 30 Whitefish, 11 Blue Perch, 4 Sculpin, and 1 Barracuda.

Ryan checked in for the Sport King out of San Pedro. The boat is a for-sure go tomorrow. We are going for sure Catalina Island. It's 100 bucks a person. It's 6 a.m. departure, getting back around 5. We'll be focusing on the surface fishing. If you're coming out, please bring your, I'd bring a 12-pound, maybe 20-pound rod, 12- to 15-pound, and bring a rockfish rod. We're gonna do the rockfish thing if we absolutely have to, but we're focusing on the surface fishing, so fly line anchovy, some light line, and let's see what we can do. The water's getting warmer every day, and we're looking to get you guys out there. 14 or 15 people tomorrow. Boat's going for sure, $100 a person!

Monday's trip is A GO, and LIGHT LOAD! Bring your 12-25lb gear and an assortment of hooks.  The weather looks great, and the surface fishing is starting to come to life at the Island!

Ryan checked in for the Gail Force out of San Pedro. We've got a 5am-5pm tomorrow heading over to Catalina. It's a FOR SURE GO! We've got 10 people on it at the moment, and we're going for sure. We'll be heading to the island, doing the rockfish thing, and then looking around on the surface. So, bring some sinkers, rod and reel to fish up to 300-400 feet of water, and bring a 12-to-15 pound would probably be preferred, with maybe some small sliding egg sinkers and small hooks to fly on the anchovies or whatever kind of light bait we've got. Hopefully we'll see you in the morning. Ryan has the latest report and tackle recommendations for you below.
