Ryan checked in for the Gail Force out of San Pedro. Two boats out last night at LA Waterfront in San Pedro with great results!  The boats captured 59 Legal Lobster and tossed back 97 Lobster. Weather was amazing and the Lobster are STILL on the crawl!  Season doesn’t end until middle of March 2026 so plenty of time to get aboard!  We have trips scheduled every Wednesday - Sunday departing at 12pm Lobster fishing at Catalina Island.

Anthony checked in for Sport King out of LA Waterfront Sportfishing. We had a beautiful day at Catalina Island. We ended our day with 1 yellowtail and sorted through some cookie-cutter halibut, ending up with 1 legal halibut, a couple nicer calico bass, whitefish, and perch to top off the bags. Overall, it was fun fishing for January. Our 17 passengers ended with 1 yellowtail, 1 halibut, 12 halibut released, 2 opaleye, 1 sculpin, 43 whitefish, 63 halfmoon, 1 sargo, 8 calico bass, and 20 calico bass released.

Anthony and Ryan checked in for Sport King out of La Waterfront Sportfishing. Happy New Year, everyone. We put a day together at Catalina Island and picked away at a few things. We had a couple of opportunities at yellowtail, and managed to grab 1. We saw some good signs. We also tried for some halibut and grabbed 1 keeper with lots of throwbacks. Overall, it was a good day with fun fishing. Our 15 passangers caught 1 yellowtail, 1 halibut, 12 halibut released, 50 halfmoon perch, 12 whitefish, 1 sargo, 6 calico bass, and 15 calico bass released. Ryan checked in for the Triton out of San Pedro. A great fishing trip takes 3 thing... Great weather, a great crew, and the most important thing to having a great trip on the water is having great people to enjoy the trip with.  Tonight we had all that plus fantastic lobster hooping to go with it.

Everyone took home multiple lobsters, with more than half the people taking their limits home.  Quality, quantity, and everything else made for just an outstanding night on the bay.

Ryan checked in for the Gail Force out of San Pedro. Catalina Island Lobster Combo Trip Tomorrow, It is a for-sure-go. Heading over to Catalina, departing at noon, getting back around midnight, we'll go over there and fish for whitefish or whatever wants to bite and do the lobster thing. Everything's included except for your licensing, so bring that with you. We have seven people on the boat, three spots available. Weather looks good and we're going for sure.

Lobster fishing has been real good this whole season, so we're looking forward to getting back out tomorrow and hopefully we'll see you there.

Ryan checked in for Sport King out of La Waterfront Sportfishing. Sport King had a super light load of just 12 anglers today fishing Catalina Island. The group captured 36 Bonito, 5 Calico Bass, 22 Calico Bass released,  5 Blue Perch, 16 Whitefish and 4 Sheephead released. A few mystery fish were hooked and lost too! If you targeted the Bonito it was all you want!   Pretty darn good fishing for Jan 2, 2026.
